Naval Conquest: Dark Seas — Where This Came From and Where It’s Going

We like pirate games. Always have. There’s something about sailing open seas, managing a ship, and going up against other players that never stopped being appealing to us. Sea of Thieves captures that really well — it’s a game we’ve enjoyed a lot, and it made us want to explore that same space on mobile, where that kind of experience simply doesn’t exist yet.

We didn’t start from wanting to fix anything or having some grand vision for the industry. We started from wanting to play something that didn’t exist in the format we like, and deciding to build it ourselves. Naval Conquest: Dark Seas is basically that: a naval combat game for mobile, free to play, no pay-to-win, where progression is real and skill actually matters.

We’re not claiming it’s the best game in the world. We’re claiming we’re building it with genuine enthusiasm, that we listen to our players, and that there’s a lot more planned beyond what’s available today.

The Launch

The game launches in July 2026, starting with North America and Europe on Android and iOS. A month later we expand to Huawei AppGallery and bring Asian servers online across all three platforms.

What’s Next

Our first post-launch priorities are stabilizing the game, balancing the core mechanics, and continuing to expand the content until the gameplay loop we have in mind is complete. There’s quite a bit of work ahead on that front.

After that, there’s something we’re genuinely excited about: a medieval settlement-building mode. A separate mode centered on resource gathering, settler management, and strategic combat — something that significantly expands the game’s scope beyond naval combat. We don’t have dates to share yet, but the foundation is already in place and it’s something we’ve been thinking about for a long time.

That’s everything for now. Thanks for being part of this journey with us since Early Access.
